Знаете, в сети много есть о его экуменической деятельности. На это желающие найдут десять оправданий, на которые можно найти по десять опровержений, на которые.... и пр.

На эту тему -- правда! -- не хочется спорить.

Пусть будет просто картинко.

Я не к тому. Я действительно как-то не очень понимаю, как можно причащаться там, где поминают его имя.

Врядли многие рады распространению экуменической заразы, но вменяемых протестов что-то не слышно, а невменяемых никто всерьез не воспринимает.

Совсем такого не помню. Хотелось бы посмотреть. Из недавних была вот эта новость:

Inauguration in Spain of the first orthodox church of the Patriarchate
of Moscow

ROME, Thursday November 22, 2007 (ZENIT.org). Father Emilio Benedett,
priest of the Society of Jesus, reported to ZENIT (ZENIT.org), that
the first orthodox church of the Patriarchate of Moscow to be build in
Spain was inaugurated and blessed on 11 November 2007.

The Church, set up in the medium of pines, in a peripheral district of
Altea, close to Alicante, is an example of particularly pure Russian
architecture: made out of wood from the Ural Mountains, decorated with
mosaics outside, with beautiful icons ", explained Father Benedett.

In the apse, directed towards the East, he added : "a beautiful
polychrome mosaic stands out representing a blessing Jesus Christ,
whom one sees very well from the road that goes from Altea to Calpe.".
The building is covered by five golden cupolas, with Byzantine
crosses. The brightness of the building cathches the eye.

Inside, frescoes by Moscow artists represent angels around Christ "in
majesty" or Pantocrator. " Our attention, Father Benedett says, is
attracted by the large wooden iconostasis decorated with, showing
superb icons in the style of the Moscow iconographic school,
representing, in a purely orthodox style, Jesus Christ, the Virgin
Mary and holy fathers of the Eastern Church".

The liturgy was celebrated by Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and
Kaliningrad, currently chairman of the Department of foreign
relations of the Russian orthodox Church.

Before the beginning the liturgical celebration, the metropolitan
greeted the bishop of Orihuela-Alicante, Monsignore Rafael Palmero
Ramos, who was present in the assembly, by these words: "Considering
that we are in this diocese of which you are in charge, I kindly
request to you to proceed to the blessing of this church".

"By saying that, he wanted to be explicit, state that Bishop Palmero
is the bishop of the place and that, as a successor of the apostles,
he chairs the Christian community of the Church of Orihuela-Alicante",
explained father Benedett.

The bishop was surrounded by the general vicar of his diocese and the
priest of the parish of Altea. Were also present at the ceremony, the
Russian ambassador in Madrid, Alexander Kuznetsov, and the mayor of
the city.

The polyphonic choir had come from Moscow for the occasion. It
interpreted "in a masterly way some very beautiful songs of the
beautiful and expressive Russian orthodox liturgy", Father Benedett
commented.

The audience, which filled the church, and the square outside,
remained standing during all the liturgy, as it is usual with the
orthodox, showing a contemplative/meditative and very respectful
attitude. The ceremony lasted more than two hours.

In his homely, metropolitan Kirill particularly stressed that the
community, drawing from the splendid treasures of spirituality that
characterize the orthodox Church, had to see in this church a symbol
of faith and love in Jesus Christ.

He stressed the need for working "with our catholic brothers, without
intentions to proselytise, to spread with them the Christian values in
this world which needs them so much".
